Jens Andersen, VP of Sales

Industry veteran Jens Andersen is responsible for developing and leading Motivo’s sales team, accelerating revenue by aligning Motivo with its customers’ goals, expanding into new markets, and developing new channels.

For more than 20 years, Jens has focused on IC design optimization, including yield, power, performance, area, and design closure, aligning perfectly with Motivo’s core technologies and customer targets. Jens also brings more than 25 years of sales and management experience to Motivo, having served as CEO of design sign-off company Invarian, Inc. until its 2015 acquisition by Silvaco; as VP of Sales for standard cell library platform and performance, power, and area optimization company Nangate, Inc.; and VP of Sales for Zenasis Technologies. Prior to that, he was Director of Sales for Cadabra Design Automation and Numerical Technologies before it was acquired by Synopsys, Inc.

Having devoted a quarter of a century to a variety of startups, Jens has generated over $100M in startup revenue, from angel- to well-funded, from pre-raise and pre-revenue, driving them to profitability. His devotion to the startup community has enabled several companies to be acquired. For the 5 years prior to joining Motivo, he drove a highly profitable consulting business serving semiconductors, IoT, and AI/ML applications.

Jens has sold to the best and finest companies in the US, APAC, and European markets, and he has contributed to the entire life cycle of companies, from idea to customer acquisition. He thinks outside the box; identifies trends and new markets; and enjoys innovation, finding customers and partners, and building sales teams and ecosystem partnerships. With a deep understanding of our industry and the world, Jens connects across cultures and bridges gaps.
