Motivo, Inc. is currently hiring for the following positions:
Lead Software Engineer (LSE)
Motivo, Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for the positions of Lead Software Engineer (LSE) and Senior Software Engineer (SSE) for the design, development and implementation of core software libraries and tools for Integrated Circuit Design Analysis and Optimization.
From system requirements specifications to algorithm design, from machine learning model development to code implementation and testing, LSE and SSE are key contributors to Motivo’s technology solutions.
Skill Set: Demonstrated proficiency and experience in one (or multiple) high level programming languages (Java, C/C++, C#, Scala, Go, etc.) and related development environments (version control, compilation, testing and debugging automation; release management). Practical experience with Python and familiarity with data analytics and machine learning modules. Advanced algorithms and data structures design: complexity analysis and space/time optimization.
Database design and implementation methodologies (relational and non-relational data models, e.g. graph-based or other NoSQL). Search optimization techniques.
Preferred, but not required experience with VLSI CAD algorithms and Electronic Design Automation methodologies (from front-end logic design, to circuit synthesis, to physical synthesis, P&R and verification).
Excellent communication (both oral and written) and presentation skills are fundamental requirements for these positions. LSE and SSE routinely interact, at the technical level, with both external customers and with internal development team members.
Education: Degree in Computer Science, Computer and/or Electrical Engineering
(also Applied Mathematics, Information Technology or closely related field).
Specifically: BS in CS/EE with 7+ year industry experience, or MS in CS/EE with 3+ year industry experience, or Ph.D. in CS/EE with at least one major industrial collaboration research project (e.g. industry internship).
IC Design Validation and Test Engineer (DVE)
Motivo, Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for the position of IC Design Validation and Test Engineer. Candidates must have a 5+ yr. demonstrated experience in the design and validation of DFT/DFX SoC test design features, such as TAP network, MBIST, FBIST, SCAN, PINMUX, BSCAN, chip reset, DFT security, and similar architectural blocks.
Skill Set: Demonstrated experience with RTL Design and Simulation Flows (Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL, SystemC) and practical knowledge of Synopsys simulation flows (vcs and Verdi visualization and debugging).
Additional experience with industry standard EDA DFT tools and flows (such as Mentor Tessent) and practical knowledge of industry standard test formats (such as STF).
PROGRAMMING: Scripting languages used in automation of Design Flows and DFT, including Tcl, Perl and Python: ability to run, read, spec and code scripted design flows (based on customer's requirements) in Unix/Linux based CAD environments.
COMMUNICATION: Superior communication and collaboration skills are essential, in order to understand, discuss and review technical requirements and specifications directly with Customer's Engineering teams, and to report technical results.
Demonstrated ability to manage and optimize project schedules and milestones with Customer's Project Management teams is also necessary for this customer facing position.
Education: Degree in Computer and/or Electrical Engineering (also Computer Science or closely related field, with specialization in Computer Architecture and Hardware Design).
Specifically: BS in CS/EE with 7+ year industry experience, or MS in CS/EE with 3+ year industry experience, or Ph.D. in EE/CS.
Prior practical experience, working with industry leader IC companies and state-of-the-art Hardware Design Kits and Flow Automation Environments is a plus.
